New Changes for your Safety
After reviewing feedback, extensive discussion, and collaboration from the Lubbock Police Department, we have decided to take security a step further.
Attendees ages 13+ will be charged ONE DOLLAR ($1) to enter.¹ Children ages 12 and under get in free with a paid adult.
This allows Pride Fest to be a private event within our barricades.
This fee allows us to restrict protesters to outside of the barricades and remove anyone that is disruptive, spewing hate speech, or violating the Festival Rules and Code of Conduct.
For a speedy entry, please bring exact change.
Once you have your wristband, you can leave and re-enter at no extra charge.
ALL proceeds from admission will be deposited into the LubbockPRIDE Scholarship Fund, as we continue to expand the ways in which we give back to the community. We are an all-volunteer organization and proceeds are never distributed . Any profits always go back to the community.
¹Vendors will receive 4 wristbands upon check-in. Additional vendor wristbands can be provided upon request if more than 4 people will be tending to your booth.

Code of Conduct
All attendees will be expected to act in a respectful and professional manner. Hateful speech, excessive drinking, and/or behavior that is in any way disrespectful, will NOT be tolerated. If you are found to be in violation of any of these, you will be removed from the Festival. We are a part of, and support an inclusive community, and therefore take the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved, including attendees, very seriously.
All ages are welcome, however if you choose to bring your little ones along, please make sure they do not go unattended. We greatly stress this not only for their safety, but also because we need to be respectful of artists/vendors and their items, as well as other attendees.
If you bring your pets, please have them leashed at all times and pick up after them if they make any messes.

Stay hydrated

FAQs
-
Uniformed police officers will be present throughout the event. If protesters arrive and violate the posted rules, they will be removed from the event interior. Additionally, festival goers over 13 years old will be given pink entry wristbands to ensure safety of attendees. People age 12 and under will get purple wristbands at no charge. Anyone who violates the posted rules is subject to removal at the discretion of LubbockPRIDE and must remain outside the barricades.
-
Charging $1 for people 13 and up for the festival allows us to increase the safety of the event by ensuring anyone who violates posted rules can be removed from the event. Charging $1 also allows us to refuse entry. Additionally, funds will be going to LubbockPRIDE’s scholarship fund. LubbockPRIDE is entirely volunteer run, and any proceeds from events always go back into the community.
-
Once you enter the festival, there are no refunds. If you are escorted out, you will not be permitted back inside the barricades.
-
We did our best to make this festival the most inclusive Lubbock has ever had! By moving to the Art District, we anticipate wheelchair users will enjoy increased access throughout the festival. Accessible restrooms will be located by the Plaza stage, inside LHUCA, inside the Ice House, and CASP.
-
The Ice House is a designated cool down space that should be relatively quiet and sensory friendly throughout the day. There may be some people playing games inside. For kids, sensory bottles will also be available to make in the Graffiti Building from 5:30-6pm.
-
All performances and shows on our official schedule are family friendly, unless otherwise noted (there are two adults-only performances). The Graffiti Building and its activities are only open to parents and their children (no unaccompanied minors).
-
Street parking will be available around the festival. There are also parking garages and decks around the area. You can also park at the Civic Center or library parking lots.
-
We strongly encourage you not to park in local businesses parking lots. They may be towing. Be sure to follow all posted parking and traffic signs.
-
Drinking is allowed in the Two Docs and enclosed patio area. Please do not drink in the streets or outside the Two Docs area.
-
Dogs are allowed in the Art District, but not the buildings. Please keep in mind we will be on asphalt and concrete, and the weather will be hot. There will not be watering stations for pets, so plan accordingly!
If you do bring your animal companion, be sure to have them on a leash and pick up after them. We want all guests to enjoy their day, and stepping in droppings can be crappy.
-
Prior to the event, you can reach out to us at info@lubbockpride.org. The day-of, we will try to monitor for questions, but please find a LubbockPRIDE officer in person. The LubbockPRIDE booth will be next to the Plaza, and we can help with questions. LubbockPRIDE officers will be wearing lanyards and name tags.
